Okay, confession, I do a thing I call “book days”. It is literally a day I book off work to read. Sounds magical, right? It is.
I am a hyper organized Goodreads.com user, and periodically I go through my “year” shelves and decide which books I absolutely NEED to read on their release day. Lucky for you, me, and everyone, I shall let you know my recommendations for “Book Days”!
For my inaugural Book Day post, I had to go with my most anticipated read of 2018. It is clearly OBSIDIO by Amie Kaufman, and Jay Kristoff. It is not even a close contest at this point.
From Goodreads:
With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heros will fall, and hearts will be broken.
The final book, in what has been the SPECTACULAR Illuminae Files series, comes out on March 13, and you better believe I am ready for my first Book Day of 2018. The Illuminae Files has been the most beautiful, unique, and breathtaking series I might have ever read. The books themselves are absolute works of art, and have to been seen, held, and experienced to be believed.
If you have not yet had the pleasure of reading The Illuminae Files (Illuminae, and Gemina), please pick them up – you won’t be disappointed. And for everyone who knows the magic of this series, I’m sure you’re joining me in counting the days!

I think scheduling a “book day” is possibly the most magical idea I have ever heard of.

I Love this idea and the book you chose to speak about too! can’t wait for Obsidio to be released either, and though I’ll be placing a hold on the library copy most likely I just might have to book a day off to enjoy it 😉
